City Beach is a suburb in the far west of Perth, located about 22 kilometres from Perth Airport. Getting from Perth Airport to City Beach is tricky because it cuts through the heart of the city, and can take up to 45 minutes in rush hour. You can expect to be in the car for about 30 minutes during quieter periods.

City Beach to Perth Airport: A travel guide

Getting from City Beach to Perth Airport

Driving from City Beach to Perth Airport takes about 30 minutes during off-peak hours, and up to 45 minutes in rush hour. You can also take a number of buses if you’re desperate, but will need to catch three of them to complete your journey, will take about an hour and a half.

Perth Airport terminals

Perth Airport has four terminals in total, with Terminal 1 being its largest. This terminal caters for both domestic and international flights, and includes flights from Virgin Australia, Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Qantas, and Malaysia Airlines. Terminal 2 provides flights for REX, Virgin, and Alliance, and Terminals 3 and 4 have flights for Qantas and Jetstar.

Perth Airport parking and pick-up

If you’re planning to drive to Perth Airport, there’s a few different parking options for you.

Perth Airport facilities

As such a vast international airport, Perth has a variety of common airport facilities that you can use during your stay. There’s the usual bars, cafes, and restaurants to grab a bite to eat, airline lounges from Air New Zealand, Alliance, Emirates, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, and Virgin Australia, and baggage storage if you need to safely store your luggage. You can also find ATMs, foreign exchange, parenting rooms, postal services, a quiet room, sleeping pods, and a whole lot more.
