Mount Barker is a picturesque city located 33 kilometres inland of Adelaide’s city centre. The city is in the middle of the countryside making it perfect for walking trails and animal sightings, as well as birdwatching. Climb up to Mount Barker to admire the beautiful landscape stretching across the Adelaide Hills.

Once you’ve taken in all the nature, head back into town and check out the shopping boutiques scattered along the streets. Mount Barker is also renowned for its alcohol production, so you cannot miss the Ngeringa winery or the Prancing Pony Brewery. If you’re staying over the weekend, hit up the Saturday Farmer’s markets situated at a close distance from the main street.

In terms of activities, Mount Barker offers a skate park for kids and adults to indulge in, a cinema, and a golf course.
